How to Get Started  With Care.com

There are two ways to get started or to register on the website. You can either sign up as a Caregiver or a Care Seeker.

As a Care Seeker,

You create an account, list your job and wait to be contacted by the caregivers. Once you are contacted, review the caregivers’ profiles, interview them and select the one you think will be the most suitable for the job. Make and track payments through the Care.com system and pay the caregiver once the job is completed.

As a Caregiver,

You create an account, upload your photo and update your profile with as much information as possible, including your work experience and other related skills.

Wait for a job to be posted or browse through the available jobs. Apply for a one and wait for the Care Seeker to approve your application. If you are hired, complete the job and get paid via direct deposit.

How Much Money Do You Get Paid Per Hour?

Caregivers themselves are responsible for setting up their own rate per hour. However, on average, Child Care Services pay around $10.15 per hour, Senior Care – $12.25 per hour, Pet Care $9.75 per hour and Housekeeping $12.25 per hour.

As a Caregiver, you get paid immediately via direct deposit once the Care Seeker has acknowledged you have completed the job as required.
